About the Artist
Jill’s mixed media interactions use Venetian plaster, sand, charcoal, walnut ink, hammered desert stones, marinated coffee beans, ash from her home fire, perhaps submerged beneath beeswax. Her coalescing paint layers interact in sensuous ways, invoking the unexpected, in shape, color and texture. Her paintings infuse an anodyne presence, like a salient whisper to our selves.
