Mixed media on panel. This painting was made with many layers of hand make pigments ground from southwestern rocks, walnuts and coffee. A negative way of working was engaged by scrubbing and washing off the pigments to create a stain, then wet paint was applied in layers in the style of Bill Jenson. It’s named after a Coldplay song that makes my heart ache every time.
